Climbing El Teide, Spain’s highest peak on the island of Tenerife. Clouds and rainbows, a strong wind and freezing cold plus stunning scenery, awesome fun and some wonderful people were the ingredients I had.
Aimless wandering off the beaten path, through bushes, cactuses and rocks above and around one very special place in Tenerife. The lovely little village of Masca.
Full of retired people, modern flashy hotels and expensive oceanfront restaurants, Costa Adeje – Tenerife is not my kind of destination. But there’s enough to do around if you’re running away from tourist hot-spots like me.
Tenerife. Heard about it. Thought it was some exotic destination for the rich. Ignored it ever since. That until I decided to go and see with my own eyes.
When bad luck turns out to be good luck in the end. Or chasing shortcuts, walking in circles, wild camping and lots of rain in my first camping trip ever.
Memorable moments and people, stunning views and a nice office under the sun. What else could you wish for as a mountain guide? A beer most probably.
Sea, sun, gorgeous girls and parties on the beach, beer and fun, good happy folk and a great time. All that in the little village of Vama Veche, Romania.
